MAGICAL MUD STUDIO TOUR

2010 will bring our second annual Magical Mud Pottery Tour, on July 9 & 10. Last year, we had 11 local potters participate in this self guided event, from full time production potteries to small home based studios with part-time pottery enthusiasts at the wheel. Join us for this fun late summer event that the whole family will enjoy! Check out our 4th Annual Greendale Country Sampler Tour, visiting 13 unique rural attractions and small businesses, as we share the spirit of our farming community! SLOW FOOD CYCLE TOUR CHILLIWACK comes to GREENDALE!

Sunday, August 23 9am - 4pm

For full details on this fun event, go to www.slowfoodvancouver.com where you can register for this 25 km cycling event with a focus on sustainable farming and good, clean & fair local foods! There will be ten stops on the tour, and you will need to register with Slow Foods for your map, details and all the information and extras offered on this day! Here at the Pottery, we will be focusing on tours of our farm and information on our pasture management techniques and Black Angus herd, throughout the day. We will also have delicious appy's available featuring our tasty beef prepared by Executive Chef Michelle of Evangelines Barbeque & Contemporary Soul Food Ltd. in Chilliwack. Savour the food and the environment while listening to a classical guitarist playing from 11:30am to 3:00pm. Of course the Pottery will also be open and demos will be ongoing PLUS, we will have both a Pottery door prize AND a PRIME RIB OF BEEF ROAST door prize!

Chilliwack Arts Council - POTTERY CLASSES: Find Holly McKeen teaching 'Pottery 2' Wheel Throwing

There will be three of these six week courses offered throughout the year, at our Chilliwack Arts Centre. These classes are geared for adult learners, with previous experience on the Potter's Wheel and will cover intermediate to advanced techniques along with study of form and function.
